Notes:

1. Scottish and English, possibly as a feminine form of Ronan or Ronald or from the Scottish island of Rona.  It appeared around 1870.  The Scottish form is usually Rhona, believed to be by the influence of the spelling of Rhoda.

2. Hungarian [with an accent: Róna], of unknown origin.
