Notes:

Irish and English. An early Gaelic variant of Edmund, Éamon/Éamonn is now more usually the Irish Gaelic form of Edward [q.v.].

A correspondent [MS] has reported the use in Ireland of the pet name Ned for Éamon/Éamonn because of its association with Edmund and Edward. As a consequence the derived pet name Nedeen [= "little Ned"] may also be used.
