Scottish spelling variant of Gordon.

The 1841 and 1881 Censuses of Aberdeenshire have a small number of occurrences of the spelling Gorden as a male forename, a spelling variant of Gordon.

A correspondent [GB] has reported the spelling Gorden for the wife on a memorial inscription in Aberdeenshire. This would probably have been the family's preferred spelling although the death certificate recorded her name as Gordon.
