| Notes: | A corrspondent [GB] has noted a girl born in Lonmay, Aberdeenshire in 1872 and christened Andrew Ann BRUCE.  Her father, a fisherman, was called Andrew. This is an example of the Scottish tradition of honouring parents and other ancestors. This child was registered by her uncle otherwise it is likely that her forenames might have been reversed.  However, she retained them in her baptismal order until her death, also in Lonmay, in 1954. |
