Notes:

Russian diminutive of Antonina or pet name for Anna. Now becoming popular in French and English-speaking countries. Occurs very rarely in the 1841 Census of Aberdeenshire.

Nina is frequently used as a diminutive for Scottish female names derived from male names to which the tradional ending -ina has been added.

Nena is a rare English spelling variant.
