Notes: |
English and/or Scottish, extremely rare. ONC suggests this is a recent 'fanciful' elaboration of Audrey. However it might simply be a Scottish form, i.e. Audr(ey) + -ina. We would welcome any evidence on this. The International Genealogical Index has very few examples shared equally between England and Scotland, although the first is in the 17th century so it is not necessarily 'recent'. |
